What do you get when you put a wallflower, a duke and a pet squirrel together? One heck of a fun book! Wooed by the Wallflower is a delightfully funny, laugh-out-loud, charming piece to read. The playful banter and undeniable chemistry between our two main characters will have tears of laughter rolling from your eyes.
Sterling Nottingham, Duke of Hanover is filled with self-loathing and finds himself accused of murdering his mistress. Trying to deal with his pain, he buries his feelings the best way he knows how…with gin…lots and lots of gin. But when he “accidentally” kisses an average-looking, squirrel toting wallflower by the name of Rosemary Stanhope while drunk at a house party, sparks fly. There’s something about Rosemary (and that kiss) that he simply can’t forget.
Rosemary is sweet, kind and just a tad bit peculiar. But after her first kiss with the Duke of Hanover, she can’t believe her luck…and her heart longs for something she never thought possible. Through a series of coincidentally meetings, these two emotionally broken people find a friendship and a love that can’t be ignored!
Overall, this book was an enjoyable read. Enjoyed seeing characters from the three previous books and meeting new ones. Although fun in nature, I would have preferred a bit more passion…and definitely more “burn” between our two main characters!!!
